SoundsEnglish is equally popular between male and female visitors. The majority of the visitors, around 85% are between the ages of 10 and 35. The appeal of the site is global. In a typical month visitors from around 210 countries and territories will visit the site.
The site currently averages about 200,000 page loads per month and 70000-75000 visits.

Getting the Most from Banner Ads
The advantage that banner ads gives you, the advertiser, is to create "branding". That is, your logo, name, catchphrase, gets burned into the minds of our readers. Remember, SoundsEnglish is a site for visitors with a proven interest in English learning.
Make sure your banner ads display your name, logo, catchphrase, and anything else you feel is important to your brand. We will accept video advertising for the 336x280 slots. We will also accept animated banners but they must be approved prior to placement.
Banner ads are not really meant to attract clicks, but rather build familiarity. So when someone is ready to learn, make a purchase, take a language holiday etc your brand will be at the forefront of their mind.
Having said that we find that the click through rates on our pages are very high. the site was designed with this in mind. For example a recent test ad at position 3 experienced a click through rate of 8% of total visitors.
Generally on the site as a whole we find that around 22-28% of visitors will click an ad.
